Pondering the Market

Dull Botero body except for shining brass where his fingers laughed.
Jagged journey down
where food is sold and eaten by the pound
and people talk on cellphones about what kind of rice to buy
and fish and fowl and fruit converge with grains and guarantees.
Crackers.
I sit and eat another pound.
I wonder why I'm here
and you're not.

Links, Links, Links

Well, thanks to the requests of facebook friends, I've finally created the iPhone blogs:

Ladies Cease To Pause and Hello I Photo. Just follow the links on the side to check them out.

I also made a special guest blog appearance on MizzFit.com!

Did I mention that I ran the New York City Half Marathon??? Well, I did!! Check MizzFit for a recap!

Finally, I'm shooting an indie feature film for two weeks upstate in Hudson, New York. Pretty excited- everyone involved is way up there in the amazing factor. Tres Cool. Can't wait!

Lots of Love,
Suz

Confusion on the Seven Train

Boy:So then she tells me that she's back, but she has to get her hair done, her eyebrows done, her nails done, and new flip flops. I'm like, you've been gone for months and I'm not the first thing you want to do? I mean, see?

Girl: ...yeah...that's a little weird.

Boy: Three months without her hair being done and she can't wait one more day? How do you think that makes me feel?

Girl: ...well, I would feel like she doesn't really care about me. If you were my boyfriend, I'd want to see you right away.

Boy: Yeah. That's what I'm saying and shit. I'm gonna dump that bitch to the street.

they exchange a glance

Boy: Nah, probably not, but I'm just sayin'!

Girl: This is our stop.

Outlet Battle

-Hello, handsome

-Why, hello Lil' Lady?

-That's a mighty big plug. What brings you to this one socket town?

-I'm just lookin' to use this here lassoo to double my wattage.

-Careful, pardner. Looks like you covered in the last district.

-Them's mighty sharp words for pretty porcelain to be usin'

-I just switch them as I see them. I switch them as I see them.

Seven Train Goddess

Unraveled friendship bracelets woven through her soft, long, childish gray hair. Springtime greens and blue heralding peace on a sunny morn. Granddaughter helped her up the subway stairs, which prove to be less sturdy than small village mountains in native Nepal. Her goodness circled her shorted breath as the Seven Train parted its commuter cargo and, magically, a seat appeared. She held her hands together and spread blessings more beautiful the the morning Times.

Collage

Past the banana cart, art brushes with architecture below the belt while homeless temporary hipster imposes backpack/canteen shadows. Prize fighters are torn down one way or another. The very next day the Polish mafia peeled away the sunshine and his oatmeal-paste skin. Only the Z-word remains.

rack

we joined the army while shopping for sweaters at express.
you rail thin. me stubbornly strong like a blowfish. before you left to be weighed, you asked the recruitment ranger if it was for cosmetic purposes. she looked up and pointed to a turquoise miniskirt. in a flash i saw a large metal pole reach for it. like changing light. we looked at each other. finally. real glycerin walked down our red faces. our plastic hands let go of clearance. sails. i hope i look pretty with a shaved head, i thought, as i watched you dance away.
